2048 Gameplay

• Players simply swipe the screen up, down, left, or right. With each swipe, all the numbered tiles slide in that direction.

• After each swipe, a new numbered tile (usually 2 or 4) will appear on the board.

The Playing Experience

Initially, creating numbers like 8, 16, or 32 is quite easy. But later on, to create a large number, you have to plan many steps ahead. For example, to get 64, you need two 32 tiles, and to get two 32 tiles requires many smaller tiles beforehand. This makes space on the board increasingly valuable.
