How to Play Melon Playground

Players begin by choosing a map, most commonly Empty Box – a completely empty space to unleash their creativity. You can drag and drop characters like melon, pumpkin, corn, apple, cactus… onto the screen, then interact directly with them using your hands, weapons, or tools.

All controls are based on drag-and-drop touch input, from grasping and rotating objects to activating weapons and controlling vehicles. The game allows the use of all kinds of weapons: from spears, swords, guns, grenades, and flamethrowers to syringes containing regeneration, acid, or viruses.

Physics and Experimentation System

The core of Melon Playground lies in its ragdoll physics. Characters have bones and internal organs and react very realistically to external impacts: being burnt reveals the skeleton, being shot results in limb loss, and being corroded by acid or even regeneration with potions. This physical interaction makes the game more like a laboratory than a traditional game.

In addition, players can equip clothing, give weapons to their characters, or control heavy vehicles like armoured vehicles, even driving and shooting directly on the touchscreen.
