Pokerogue is a browser-based Pokémon game, but instead of exploring a map like the original, it focuses entirely on a continuous series of battles. You enter a run and fight battle after battle until you lose.

Before each run, you get to choose a team with a maximum limit of 10 points. Each Pokémon has its point value. Initially, there are basic starters. The more you play and catch Pokémon, the more options you unlock for the next run.
For example, you can choose Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, which will almost use up your points. If you caught other Pokémon in a previous run, you can include them in your starting team.
After entering a run, the game will continuously put you into wild battles, double battles, trainer battles, rival fights, and mini-bosses. After each battle, you receive money or items such as Potions, Revives, Rare Candy, Poké Balls, Great Balls… You can catch Pokémon during the battle. If your team is full, you have to replace it with another Pokémon.
There's no EXP Share from the start, so you have to rotate your Pokémon to level up.
There are runs where you plan your defenses perfectly and switch Pokémon at the right time, but a faster opponent can lead to an immediate defeat.
Pokerogue is a roguelike version of Pokémon that focuses entirely on combat. The game is quite difficult, but each run is different, so it's not boring. Another interesting strategy game is FrontWars.io, which offers a territorial battle experience.
