ULTRAKILL is a first-person shooter in the boomer shooter style, but taken to an extreme, literally. The pace is incredibly fast, combat is relentless, and there's almost no pause. You don't just shoot; you move, dodge, combo, and react to situations constantly, like playing a metal music track with… mouse and keyboard.
You play as V1, a blood-powered war machine, wandering into hell after humanity has almost disappeared. With no world to return to, your only option is to go deeper, eliminating anything that stands in your way.

ULTRAKILL doesn't encourage playing it safe. On the contrary, the game rewards recklessness and creativity. Simply shooting will kill enemies, but if you know how to combine weapons and skills, you can create combos that are both effective and… incredibly satisfying.
For example, flipping a coin and shooting at it to make the bullet bounce off and hit the enemy, or using a laser to shoot through multiple targets at once. These seemingly small things become the foundation for more complex maneuvers later on.
The game has many types of weapons, and each has its own variations with different uses. But the noteworthy point is that they don't operate independently. You can combine them to create new effects. A bullet isn't just a bullet. It can be reflected, increase damage, or detonate simultaneously with other skills. You can even parry enemy projectiles or your own attacks to gain an advantage.
ULTRAKILL doesn't allow you to take cover to heal. To survive, you have to move forward. When enemies are taken down, they will drop blood, and you have to get close to absorb that blood. This keeps combat always close-quarters. The safer you play, the easier it is to die. The more you charge in, the better you handle things, the longer you'll survive.
One of the things that makes the game so addictive is the almost complete lack of waiting time. Dying means respawning immediately at the checkpoint. No lengthy screens, no delays. You fall down and immediately rejoin the fight. This pace makes the entire experience feel like a continuous, uninterrupted flow.
ULTRAKILL isn't a casual shooter. It's more like a playground where you're constantly pushed to the point of overload, then gradually learn to control it. The more you play, the more you realize the depth of the combat system. From simple initial shots, you begin to create your own combos, faster, smoother, and more dangerous. If that kind of fast reaction flow feels familiar, Curve Ball 3D brings it into a simpler but still tense arena of prediction, angles, and split-second returns.
