Age of War 2

Age of War 2 is the sequel to the classic tower defense strategy game Age of War. Strategy and Randomness in Age of War 2

A highlight of the game is its situational dependence. In hard mode, many matches can be lost simply because area-of-effect skills don't deal enough damage or the opponent deploys units unfavorably. Players must be patient, accepting unit sacrifices to accumulate experience and wait for the right opportunity to counterattack.

Conversely, insane mode feels more stable if the right strategy is used. Building support towers early, deploying troops in waves, and utilizing powerful units in later eras reduces reliance on luck.

Upgrading Eras and Powerful Units

Once enough experience is gained, players can upgrade to the next era, unlocking more powerful units. In Age of War 2, units like spear spartans are extremely effective due to their high damage and ability to exert constant pressure.

Additionally, special skills like Zeus’s Anger play a crucial role in clearing minions and opening attack paths. Combining a large army with the right skills allows players to quickly overwhelm their opponents.
