Bad Piggies is an incredibly creative puzzle-building game from Rovio, where instead of shooting birds, you play as green pigs who must build their own vehicles to collect boxes and navigate challenging terrain.

In the Sandbox levels, the map is huge, almost gigantic, and the main goal isn't to finish the game but to collect as many boxes as possible. Players are provided with many components, such as wooden frames, metal, wheels, engines, fans, balloons, magnets, pistons, TNT… and must design vehicles suitable for each terrain.

How to play Bad Piggies

Gameplay revolves around experimentation, failure, modification, and then trying again. Sometimes you'll build a simple triangular vehicle to roll over ramps. Other times you'll have to transform it into an airplane with a series of balloons and fans to fly through dark tunnels and navigate narrow passageways. There are even times when you have to use TNT to propel yourself to another area or sacrifice a pig to retrieve a crate in a precarious location.

Features

  • Creative freedom: There's no single solution.
  • Humorous physics: Vehicles can flip, break, explode, or fly unexpectedly.
  • Constant experimentation: Add a balloon? Remove an engine? Switch to a metal frame? Every change produces a different result.
  • True sandbox gameplay: You can fly, crawl, roll, and explode—as long as you collect all 20/20 crates.

The game demands both strategic thinking and encourages crazy creativity. Sometimes seemingly illogical designs work best. And the feeling of finally collecting all the crates after a series of vehicle explosions is incredibly satisfying.

Bad Piggies isn't just a puzzle game—it's more like a miniature physics lab where you're the chief engineer… though the vehicle you just built might self-destruct after 3 seconds. If you want to switch to a card game experience, Balatro is a viable option.
